Training

Theoretical training; pilots know what do do, but I have had experience of them not knowing why they do it. A sound theoretical knowledge of issues makes people better prepared to face non-standard conditions.

Legal responsibilities & Regulations affecting pilots; there are many misconceptions regarding pilotage, are you / yours aware of their duty of care, their responsibilities in respect of reasonable instructions of a CHA or employer, confident of post incident actions. Pilot Simulator Training and mentoring a speciality.

Selection, Examination & Advancement

The Pilotage service managed by our principal was very pro-active; It ran was one of the first in the world to use a full mission bridge simulator as part of the selection/interview process. 

Committed to being "ahead of the game" we introduced CPD many years ago, had a structured training and advancement system based on the PMSC National Occupation standards, introduced a "Client Conference" senior pilot exam to enable us to meet customers expectations & increase professionalism.

ISPO (International Standards for Pilotage Organisations) accredited it received glowing reports during audits on the simplicity yet effectiveness of processes in place.

We can review your systems, make recommendations for areas of improvement and if required assist with implementation.

Standards

Assistance & advice in achieving standards such as ISPO, or OHSAS18001 (trained Lead Auditor)

Pilotage

Contract (on demand) pilotage to suitable ports, to cover for peaks and troughs or sickness.
